Results are determined by published specifications and the public scoring rules. Advertisers, manufacturers and affiliate partners cannot influence a verdict, request a spec change, or pay for placement. Sponsored content, if ever published, will be labelled as such.

Accountability

Every page names its author; the architecture supports multiple authors and reviewers and will show a reviewer where one is assigned.

Sensitive categories

Insurance, health plan and financial pages are general education, carry a visible notice, and encourage readers to consult a licensed adviser.
